Week 2: Simple Circles Table Runner

For Week 2 of my 52 Weeks, I went back and forth between working on a patchwork belt, an easy project, but one that wouldn't use much fabric, or a project that might be a little more challenging to me, but would make a bigger dent on my stash.  I opted for the latter.

This week I'll be making the Simple Circles Table Runner by Natalia Bonner of Piece N Quilt and posted on the Moda Bake Shop site.  This looks very fun, but will also be a challenge for me because I usually avoid having to stitch in curves or circles.

I'll use muslin for the backing and will use a stack of fat eighths from the Firecracker collection from Connecting Threads.  I've had this stack of fat eighths for probably three years now, so I'm looking forward to using it up with this project.

  1. Nice looking table runner... not too formal and not too goofy.
